is that dude really black? He looks like one fo those tools from the jersey shore with the spray on tan. The good thing though is once that gimmick gets old, all he has to do is take a shower, get a haircut and boom, a whole new character lol. |
Re: WWE: NXT Thread
He's really black, but he's 6 foot tall, so his hair (I know this sound stupid but it's true) will give off a taller feel to him.
And yes, he really can work a match, and a mic. He has it all, is just green. Worked with him in (not against him) a few times. |

I watched 2 of his matches. He's quick and looks powerful at least but seems to be a bit of an over-seller. They need really need to bring up the British announcer to replace Cole. "If I wanted to watch grown men dancing like girls I'd have spent the last 6 months watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers." :spit: |

That is exactly what I was thinking. I'm excited for anything new coming from WWE these days. |

He's Wade Barrett and he's paired with Jericho. I'm pumped for him; he's my favorite... even in front of Bryan (sacrilege, I know). He reminds me of a bigger, stronger Regal. I can't get enough of the guy on commentary... and the moves I've seen him pull in the ring were equally as impressive! |
Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Well I hope he's as good in the ring as he is on commentary. If not he's got that to fall back on anyway.

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I can't wait for this freakin show.
Now I'm a Danielson mark. There's really no way around it. And do I think he could make Miz pass out in a ring without using his arms ... yes, I do. But Miz is red hot right now and he has "it" ... there's no way around that either. And as much as it kills me to admit it, Danielson needs someone like Miz to call out his "bland appearance" and his indy crown of "king of wrestling" (aka The Best Wrestler in the World gimmick) so that he translates to the WWE universe. If they let him wrestle, and generate interest in him off another guy's heat, this could be Daniel(son)'s big break in the business. This guy can be the heir apparant to Benoit or Malenko and to get over, he's going to need more than his GHC title references and the like. Separately, I'm also bummed about Low Ki. I wonder if they felt that his exposure in TNA would make him a less believable "rookie"? I also think his character works already as the "world warrior" and his incredibly unique mannerisms and moveset. I only hope him and Danielson end up in a Raw or Smackdown ring soon, because these guys can tear the house down together. |
