Lol this is true. I don’t fool with other teams lineups because they seem to change so much regardless of what you do. I’ve never noticed certain positions in lineup affecting stats besides RBI -Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster out Now! (MLB 24) -Creator of JWDixon’s Franchise Spreadsheet -More coming soon! |
Re: JWDixon's Sabermetric Lineup Optimizer
Hey, maybe a dumb question, but should I enter the players as their postion on the field or just in any order?
So, Pitcher/DH on 1, Catcher on 2, First Baseman on 3 and so on... Or is it irrelevant in which order i put the guys in the sheet |

Re: JWDixon's Sabermetric Lineup Optimizer
My first game in my Reds franchise using these. Tyler Stephenson hits a grand slam no big deal. Sold! Also enjoyed setting up cpu lineup before the series. They were super challenging 1-9. 9 hole hitting was 2 for 3.

Re: JWDixon's Sabermetric Lineup Optimizer
Just finished setting up lineups for all 30 teams using this tool. I can't go back to default MLBTS lineups now. It's just so good for immersion.
JW, you're a Braves fan. Here's what I got for them: vs R: 1. Acuna 2. Riley 3. Ozuna 4. Olson 5. Albies 6. Harris 7. Kelenic 8. Murphy 9. Arcia Not bad eh? Nice to see Acuna leading off. The AI had Acuna cleanup and Harris leading off initially. Yankees vs R: 1. Judge 2. Berti 3. Stanton 4. Soto 5. Wells 6. Torres 7. Verdugo 8. Rizzo 9. Volpe I like this lineup, but I'm curious why Berti would be 2nd. From a sabermetric standpoint, I see him as more of a 6 or 7-9 kind of guy. I wonder if speed is weighted too heavily for that spot in the lineup? When I lowered his speed from 83 to 38 in the tool, it put Gleyber in the number 2 spot and him in the 7th spot, which I'd say is a better spot for him. Lineup with everyone at 25 for speed in the tool: Judge Stanton Wells Soto Rizzo Torres Berti Verdugo Volpe |
