Major Discovery: Old Rosters Found On The WayBack Machine

I was bored yesterday, so I looked at the WayBack Machine (because why not), then found that this roster for ESPN NHL Hockey had been archived, among others. If you use it in PCSX2 (yes, it works!), you can see that THE TEAM AND ARENA NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO MATCH THE AHL AT THAT TIME!

This is the link where I found this roster. They are listed as being of the application/force-download mime type (not sure what "mime type" means, but okay.), so if you find any with that type, download them now!

Last time I checked, FlyingFinn's 2K4 editor does not allow for the editing of team names. Perhaps this roster from a long time ago either had some hex editing done to it, or there's a lost version of the 2K4 editor out there somewhere.

There was I believe another version of the 2k4 editor, but I think it's lost to time and deleted archives. I'd be happy just with an XBOX 2K5 roster to be honest. Been playing the PS2 one but it just isn't the same graphically as the XBOX one even with PCSX2 enhancements. It was simply designed nicer.

I see. If anyone can find that other version of the editor, then that’s another major discovery.
