Simulation @ Games??? No

Why can Sportsgames not become a Simulation? BEcause nobody will play these games when it is a complete Sim. What i am meaning is. You controll one player, but u see with the eyes from the coach. How would that be possible in real life? If we wanted to play a real simulation of a sport. we need to control only one player with in eye view. u cant be a pg in defense and see whats happen behind ur back.

Playing a sports game in first person view doesn't automatically mean it's simulation. I'm not even sure how you came to this conclusion.

And to the OP. It's very possible for a game to be simulation when in third person. NBA 2K12 is a very "Sim" styled game.

When we talk about "Sim" games, we're not saying that the game should make us feel like we are one specific player on the floor. We're saying that a game should play realistically, and with a lack of exploits.

Dominant players should be dominant, scrubs should be scrubs, etc.
