Man, the dude is a 99 overall player and I still can't hit with him. I strike out a ton with him. Is there something about him you gotta do? Maybe I am just too over-aggressive with him and need to take more pitches. I don't use the power swing whatsoever.

1. The game has built-in slumps and hot streaks.

2. You could be trying too hard when he bats. Relax and treat him like any other player. Take pitches and just be patient.

He does feel slightly different this year than last with the swing, but I don't think they changed anything really with him. You just get in your head sometimes with certain batters too.

Just try to get yourself it good hitter counts and lay off the low and away breaking pitch.
I am actually playing against the Angels in a series on 23 and I can usually survive Trout but Drury is continuing to wreck my world. He did when he was with the Reds and then the Padres and now with the Angels.
I am playing with the A’s and if I had anything to trade for him I would so I wouldn’t have to play against him

When he gets hot, he is on fire. Pitchers begin pitching to him with caution.

DD has him rated closer to the pin in the low 90s.

He is no longer a 99. Turns 32 this year. He's missed more than 200 games the last 3 seasons, not counting the covid year.

Trout had never had a “one handed” finish at any point in his career. I am a life long angels fan and have watched trout since his very first game. Are you sure they changed this? Seems like a weird change to make for no reason. I know we can change it ourselves but then we’d lose his no doubt home run animation
