MLB the show can be played on PS5. I think the graphics are a bit sharper and performance is better than on PS4. But I don't know of its leaps and bounds better.

Is there a difference? Yes, The Ps5 runs MLBTS better IMO and slightly better graphics.

Can a PS5 play MLB THE SHOW 20? Yes.

They're not at the level of BFR (or SluggBugg's Fictional Roster from MLB 22), but MLB 23 has a couple of solid fictional rosters that are worth a look:

Novice question here (just got both my PS5 and The Show 23 this week), but can you download a fake roster set (like the GGBL one) and then run a fantasy draft franchise using REAL MLB teams? I assume this probably can be done? That would be the best of both worlds to me.

I struggle with baseball video games because so much of my interest in real-life baseball is tied to the GM stuff and knowledge about the player base/farm system. So it just bothers me for some reason to see the real season play out in parallel with a fantasy season where the players are on different teams. Weird quirk I can't really explain, but it is what it is.

Yes! The creators of that roster even recommend doing a fantasy draft.

Yep! I drafted the fake players into a real league with the MLB teams - it's amazing! And the distribution of player ratings looked pretty realistic - it certainly wasn't the case that there were a bunch of maxed-out 99's or anything. Really enjoying it with the fictitious players, it somehow ruins the experienced of being immersed in the league to see real-life players being traded to teams or doing things that aren't happening in real life.
