Seen Lindys at Walmart and took a few pics of the SEC section. I'm not sure if any others our out yet as the Walmart I went to hardly ever carries them it seems

I always get mine from CVS or grocery store. The only one I don't like is the Phil Steele one.

Everyone seems to love his. I don't mind it myself just because of how much info is in his mags, but he likes to brag it seems like lol

Lindy's National will be in Tue
so will Sporting news College Football
Atlton will be in may 27 SEC or June 3 National

USA Today out june 3rd
Phil steele will be out June 24 yes he brags too much but his Mag is a must have for guys that work on ncaa rosters


my fav is gameplan but not out until Aug it a 2-deep death chart plus a 1-page write up on every team they go over the whole season even mix in a joke or two for the bad teams but u can only get it on-line E-bay or at gameplan.com

Lindys and The Sporting News are already in stores here.

I picked up The Sporting News copy because it had Oklahoma #1.

Athlon is usually the best imo. I will pick it up when it comes out as well.

Phil Steel's magazine is just loaded with a bunch of crap. I used to get it every year until I realized he had a lot of the same articles in the magazine from previous years. He literally brings up seasonsfrom years ago in every annual installment. For example, if I read the OU section this year it will be still talking about seasons for 2-3 years ago and probably their 2000 national title run.

I don't really want to read about how he had OU as one of his top surprise team in 2000 again or he had Auburn as a surprise team in 2004. He says that every year.

Also, can you really brag after picking 20 surprise teams when a few of them pan out?

That's like me saying...Ohio State, Baylor, Michigan, Texas, USC, Florida, Georgia, LSU, etc. are all in my top 15 surprise teams for this year....Then go on to pick like BYU, Boise, and UCF to be surprise mid-major teams. Then say my power 5 are Florida State, Alabama, OU, Auburn, and Oregon.

His magazine has a lot of pages but a lot of it is rehashed fluff from previous years.

I read some of these in a store once and you have to find the reliable ones... Some feature some completely messed up power rankings, like having Oklahoma at number one and FSU at number five, and Auburn at two despite the fact that FSU beat Auburn.

Yeah, I've even seen some that have Alabama ranked ahead of OU even though OU hung 45 on them and beat them by double digits. Meanwhile OU returns its QB and Bama loses theirs. Messed up......

As for the first post, I wouldn't have Bama ahead of Auburn. It's hard to replace your QB.
