Thanks, Chas! I was fortunate that the Villanova roster I inherited was set up to allow me to coach the team the way I wanted. In fact, that was a big reason why I made the move when I did. I could tell the core players would work well in the kind of system I used at Lafayette.
I'm not sorry Texas took care of Georgetown for me in the other semifinal. I don't think our team matched up well with the Hoyas. They were so good defensively--it was hard to find a way to attack them, because they could defend both the post and the perimeter so well.
William Bogard, a junior guard who gave us fits, is entering the draft. I was hoping their center,
Dwayne Ecker, would turn pro too, but he's returning for his senior season. Oh, well; it's fun to have a worthy arch-rival to contend with.
