The town of Apolda is located in the Thuringia region of Germany. It's the birthplace of
Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann, a local tax collector who was the first to breed the protective, intelligent breed of dog that bears his name.
Apolda is also the birthplace of
Clemens Schwaiger, a large young man who puts the power in "power forward." As of today, Clemens is also the fourth and final member of our recruiting class.

Clemens is a classic big man who does most of his work close to the basket on both ends. He is most definitely a work in progress, but we believe he can--and will--develop into a well-rounded player who can shoot midrange jumpers, handle the ball and pass it, while still dominating the low block.
With Schwaiger,
Tony Ezell, and
Lowell Welter, we're balancing out our roster with three young big men. They'll join
Avery Sullivan to create a deep, versatile frontcourt in the seasons to come.
