DEFINITELY contrary to my experience. I've never successfully connected a controller to my PC via any method. (my child has, to his pc but even he can't get mine to)
I think we really just come down to this: I have considerably more confidence in my console working consistently and as intended than I've had in any computer in years (that'd cover at least my last ... 4 computers, so 15 years if not 20). That's across 3 different OS and at least 3 pc brands.
I'm consistently surprised when something works properly related to a pc (other than the simplest plug n play peripherals), I'm surprised with a console only when something doesn't work right. (true since we got past the red ring of death fiasco)
