He had excellent range.
My earliest recollection of him was his portrayal of "Jack the Ripper" in the movie "Time After Time" with Malcolm McDowell. I'll never forget one of his lines in "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier", as the disheveled Federation ambassador to Nimbus III. "Welcome to Paradise City, my dear. Capital of the so-called Planet of Galactic Peace" Then, he played the role of Klingon Chancellor Gorkin in "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country".
