Regina's off-season was defined by the surprise FA signing of DL Jamari MacDowell from Halifax. He joins two other excellent DL but a surprise to join a team that's struggled. He likes the new coach, who took moves to strengthen the defence, including the pick of LB Nate Kizzie 1st overall.
Toronto had the best developmental off-season of any team in the league. Lots will be expected from HC Chaybree Spencer's squad in her second full season.
Both teams acquit themselves extremely well but Regina will be devastated to let one get away late as Toronto pulls out a 1 point win on the last play of the game.
