1960 Off Season
Monte Irvin retired at the age of 40. So I think that's the last of the original 13. In a couple years I'm gonna take a break and do capsules on all 13 players on the 20th anniversary of their debuts.
Bud Black and Troy Herriage are in the final years of their deals and they both want raises. They can fellate themselves.
We sign SS Luis Aparicio to a 5 year extension.
We make a few minor trades of minor leaguers to clear some salary. Other than that no major moves. Black and Herriage will come off the books next year which will save us over $50K. Mickey Lolich is going to spend the year at AAA but he's on track to start next year in the rotation with McClain, hard to believe he's still only 26.
Our lineup is young but untested, it remains to be seen how they develop but I'm hopeful. Our rotation should be better, and our pen should even be a little better. I'm hoping for about 70 wins.
