Got an Epic $10 coupon in my email today, and if you have signed up for Epic Games email alerts already you should be getting one too. You can sign up for the email under account settings/communication preferences and within a few days get one too

You might want to check your Epic wishlist as they have just started a Halloween sale with big discounts on some game + coupon. I just got Dice Legacy for $6.

So when does Epic actually plan to make money on their store?

I looked this up and the answer according to Epic is 2024.

Amazon took a while to make money, too.

Epic continues its Halloween free games with: Among the Sleep: Enhanced Edition. An improved version of a game I never heard of, in this horror adventure you play a young child trapped in a nightmare where you go looking for your Mom. I am not responsible for any nightmares you might have from playing this game. :)

And another Halloween themed game I've never heard of, Darq, is the free game at Epic this week

So we get past the Halloween free games at Epic finally, and move on to a game I've had my eye on for a long time: Aven Colony. You are the Colonial Governor tasked with building humanity's new home on Aven Prime. Manage the colony and its inhabitants while exploring your new home while dealing with unknown lifeforms, extreme weather, and more

Epic snuck another free game in last week, this one free to the 16th:

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands one shot adventure-which is a prequel(?) to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

For the free game this week. they have:

1) Rogue Company: Epic pack. Exclusive for Epic-two characters and goodies for the game Rogue Company.

Looks like there will be at least 3 games next week including one I've played and enjoyed for its geekiness-Guild of Dungeoneering.

In about a half hour, Guild of Dungeoneering will be available. Also free unless they change at the last minute:

1-Kid A Mnesia-"an upside-down digital/analogue universe" created from original artwork, whatever that means

2-Never Alone-a game with strong Inuit/Alaska influences where you play as two characters , one of them a fox, as you try to discover the cause of a eternal blizzard that threatens the survival of all they have known. It's a platformer

Loop Hero, a Roguelike that had a lot of buzz when it came out this year, is the free game of the day

It's a fantastic casual time killer.

So a bit different for today's game, an early access game, Second Extinction-looks like a shooter with mutated dinosaurs trying to stay alive from those pesky humans. Looks like its meant to be a co-op game.

New game this week is one I've not heard of before, but sounds like something for the science nerds on here:


Relcita-a puzzler where you have to use an understanding of magnetism and gravity to solve it

Can anyone recommend a good turn based strategy game that is easy to learn and play that involves some kind of nations fighting, world domination aspect. Kind of like the board game risk, but more strategy with minimal micro managing of things like resources, etc...

does such a game exist?

Polytopia? AI is too easy though.

Today's free game is Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

A game that's been on my wishlist for a long time, Windbound, is the free game at Epic this week. You play as an explorer shipwrecked on one of the Forgotten Islands. There you must learn to survive, craft, and find the mystery of that island before making a boat and risking your life to get to the next island.

Another good free one this week: Brothers:A Tale of Two Sons
