Well, shit.

Snooze you lose buddy :) I don't know if Epic has a gift function or not so some kind soul could send their copy if they aren't going to use it. |
Quote:
Not a big deal. I probably wouldn't play it anyway |
I'm a big fan of the Tropico games.
|
Darkest Dungeon is today's freebie.
|
Quote:
Maybe the best Epic Xmas gift this year so far. Does not appear to contain any DLC's, but if you scroll down there is the Musketeer character free. And it looks like some of the DLC's are for sale for 75% off too. |
Another good free game today-My Time at Portia is free for 24 hours/
|
Night in the Woods, a quirky adventure game about a cat who drops out of college and comes home to Possum Springs to chill and hang out but of course that's not going to happen...is the free game today from Epic.
|
Stranded Deep where you are a plane crash survivor lost somewhere in the Pacific Ocean and you must try to stay alive, is the next free game at Epic this holiday
|
Solitarica where you combine Solitaire, RPG combat and roguelike progression is the free game at Epic today. Never heard of this game but it certainly looks intriguing.
|
I'm having a blast with Solitarica. This is the one I was waiting for when the 'real' leak was revealed.
|
Is it like slay the spire?
|

Haven't played it yet, but from the trailer it seems like it has similar mechanics |

Similar? You clear cards solitaire style, and doing so earns you four types of energy, which can then be used on spells. You defeat enemies by clearing the board. Clearing cards can also earn you two types of currency, which you can use on either temporary power-ups during a run, or permanent upgrades/class unlocks between runs, roguelike-style. |
Torchlight 2, a random loot/action RPG is the free game at Epic today. Been a long time fan of the series, recommend it to anyone interested in this time of game.
|
Jurassic World Evolution is the next free game at Epic
|
I think the Jurassic World game might have been the start of their regular free for 1 week games . They are already showing the game that will be free for next week-Crying Suns, a tactical roguelike that reminds me of FTL. The game description say its inspired by Dune and Foundation.
I don't think there will be anything other than the Jurassic World game this week, but I've been wrong before. :). |

naw. 12/31 was when the 15 free games ended, and was the normal giveaway day - Thursday. it lined up, but it was still part of the promo, and then next Thursday is back to normal. |
Really enjoying Darkest Dungeon. I can see it getting a bit tedious after a while but so far really liking it.
|
Quote:
It does but that's when you add in the DLC, which adds new monsters, dungeons, characters etc. :) |
Thanks as always for the updates, Thomkal.

You're welcome BR! |

Crying Suns is now available free for a week. Next week's game is looking like its going to be Star Wars Battlefront II |
Quote:
The Star Wars game is now available for free. Next week's game is looking like it will be Galactic Civilizations 3. |
Quote:
Gal Civ 3 now free for a week at Epic. |
Quote:
Keep 'em coming, Thomkal! |
Quote:
I will! Just saw that next week's game will be Dandara, which I guess is some game I'm (dan) in :) |

Sadly this game is not about me, unless I live in a metroidvania, platformer where the oppressed are on the edge of oblivion. But it is free for the next week at Epic |
I think we might be entering repeats territory, because next week is For the King; I already have that from Epic, and I sure wouldn't have bought it.
|
Quote:
Fun RPG, though! |
Yep, agree Sack, think they might have had some free ones repeat before, but hard to keep track of them all. For the King is certainly worth grabbing next week if you don't have it though.
|
Hope they repeat Thimbleweed Park. Missed out on that one.
|

For the King is now the free game at Epic this week |

Also, Metro: Last Light Redux is free on the Epic store. |

Good catch |
Halcyon 6 a retro space strategy RPG from 2016 is the free game at Epic this week.
|
2 free games at Epic this week:
Absolute Drift: A minimalist driving game with lots of drifting Rage 2: a shooter with lots of rage involved. |
A goodie this week at Epic with Sunless Sea a Gothic Survival RPG set in a very atmospheric and wet Fallen London in Victorian times.
|
Wargame:Red Dragon, a RTS game where Western and Communist forces clash. Looks like Surviving Mars might be next week's game.
|
Surviving Mars. which I think is a repeat of a previous free game, is the free game at Epic this week. I noticed there is one piece of additional content that's free if you click view offers to see them. Most DLC's are on sale as well
|
The Fall, alas not a game about my favorite season, but one where a faulty AI in a combat suit is charged with saving the unconscious human inside it. It is a sequel to an earlier game, so you might want to check that one out first.
|
If Thomkal ever fails to post in this thread every Thursday by noon then I'm calling the police to do a wellness check on him.
|
As well you should! :)
|
Free game this week is Creature in the Well, an adventure game where you are the last bot on a mission to restore power to an ancient facility, facing the creature you find there in order to save the city of Mirage from a devastating sandstorm
The free to play Magic Legends open beta is available on Epic too |
Tales of the Neon Sea, a pretty looking adventure game having something to do with a conflict between humans and robots (I think) is the free game at Epic this week
|
Somebody better check on Thomkal
|
Quote:
Heh, here but I forgot to check. The game this week doesn't look like it's that great anyway. :) 3 out of 10 Season 2, a games company struggles past in-game obstacles to finally make a game that is rather higher than 3 out of 10. |
Look you can't judge a game by its title. Just because it's called 3 out of 10...
|
Quote:
True, you'll just have to test it and report back to the class. :) |
Not one, not two but three free games at Epic:
1-Deponia: The Complete Journey-an Adventure/Puzzle game with additional content added 2-Ken Follett's The Pillars of Earth-a computer version of the authors bestselling novel-you play as one of three characters in 12th century England 3.-The First Tree-You play both as a fox trying to find its missing family and a son trying to reconnect with his estranged father in Alaska. Stay tuned to next week as it appears the games will be a game set in the Aliens universe and Hand of Fate 2 |
