NBA 2K16: Throwback Thursday Card Reviews (10/27/15)

Hey guys, it’s Robby from Two Brothers Gaming again here with some more NBA 2K16 MyTeam Throwback Thursday card reviews! Every week in NBA 2K16’s MyTeam mode, there are Throwback Thursday cards released with specific players’ highlight seasons. Each week here on Operation Sports, I’ll be highlighting these players and showing you stats, badges, individual attributes and everything related to each player. If you pull one of these cards, you’ll know what to do with them! Don’t forget to watch the accompanying video review as well.

Let’s get into it:

2013 Jrue Holiday, Philadelphia 76ers

Jrue Holiday was an All-Star for the Sixers in the 2013 campaign before a team change and injuries knocked him off track. This “prime” version of Holiday represents a season in which he averaged 17 points and 8 assists per game. As a Gold-tiered card, he’s a cheap option, but there are a lot of players that will dilute the market and stop Holiday from getting a lot of use online.

2011 Eric Gordon, Los Angeles Clippers

Gordon was on the verge of a big breakthrough and All-Star status before injuries took their toll. This card represents his best season as a pro, when he averaged 22 points per game and shot 48 percent from the field as a featured performer in the Clippers offense. His jumper will take a little getting used to, but it’s nothing a few minutes in Freestyle can’t fix. Grab him for cheap and fill it up on offense.

2010 Channing Frye, Phoenix Suns

Channing Frye’s transition to a “stretch” player allowed him to earn a big contract spotting up and knocking down 3-pointers for the Suns, and this was one of his best seasons doing so. If you need a stretch four or stretch five for your team, you can get Frye pretty cheap on the Auction Block. Frye shot 43 percent from deep the year this card is replicating, so give him a shot for that and not much else.

That’s it for this week. If you’d like to see the players in-game, be on the lookout for more videos, and if you have any questions I can be reached on Twitter @twobrosgaming.
