TOMBA 2K17 Slider Set
Posted on December 31, 2016 at 04:10 PM.
Well Hello All! Season Greetings and health and Happiness in the New Year to everyone ! Pretty simple really. This is my NBA 2k17 Slider Set. I was finally able to play test enough with a slider set I've been tinkering with since the games release.

As always, I try to make the game look the way it looks on a real tv broadcast. I play from the side view not top down top to bottom etc. So my edit plays best in that camera setting(which I have one specifically edited for this very slider set that you can see the setting to below)

There's really no philosophy behind it other than getting player animations to trigger naturally. I feel i have a decent grasp at making this happen. The core games good now that CZAR has helped with plays etc and it plays great MOST of the time.

The major thing I've been trying to get away from are roster edits. The rosters now DO have ENDLESS editing capabilities and apart from a few roster creators it really can turn into a HUGE project that now requires more than one person. For those doing roster edits alone(And I know its TOUGH) i applaud you all for doing it. But, however i feel that now with the staff that its in place at 2k they have guys taking care of the roster attributes in ways that almost don't require a full roster edit. For us hardcore sim types YES there can ALWAYS be improvements but it has to be said that they do a decent enough job.

That said. This slider set is made SPECIFICALLY to work with prior roster updates and patches. Its a slider set that "controls" most of if not all bad spurts the game might have while you play it. Think of it like that unofficial Skyrim patch that was out for pc and now Xbox1 and Ps4. It handles things that would other wise be left untouched do to various time constraints by the developer etc.

So to kind of quickly recap. This slider set does one thing.

Works with the official 2k roster to make gameplay better(and it has that good ol' Tomba touch too .

Please Enjoy and feel free to leave comments. A lot of the settings look to favor the CPU but the CPU is naturally tough and the way i was able to get smooth animation triggers was by playing off certain sliders against or with each other.

Going to have to give these a shot later today. I've always played from the broadcast cameras to create an added sense of realism. Thanks for putting these together and I'll let you know how they play.

hey Tomba. will minutes played effect these sliders. I like to play on 5 min quarters? or would some of the settings need to adjust to account for the loss of minutes from 8 to 5min

if you went higher than 8 yes. if you go lower to say 6 you'll be fine
